      To: Kim Forgione

Mrs.Forgione was the best teacher i have ever had. I still get teary eyed just by thinking and talking about her. She has shown me how to live life to the fullest.  When I was in school and the beginning of the day i heard the news from my first teacher. I spent the whole day in the guidance office and barely left only to get my lunch. I stood up and told the students that we should do something. I lead a group of kids to sign banners and make like memorial cards to put in shoe boxes, it turned out we needed 2, that’s how loved she was.  On my birthday she got me a card, it wasn’t much to anyone else but myself.  It had a llama on it.  It was our inside joke because my favorite animal is the llama.  She was the only teacher that has ever done anything like that  for me.  I know she is looking down on me and is so proud.  She isn’t just a footprint in my sand, she is a carving in my rocks and will never be forgotten.  "Roses are red, Violets are blue, I’m going to heaven, Toot a lu" ~Mrs.Forgione.

Love,

In memory of: Dr. Bill Moffitt

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Bill.  He was an inspiration to all those members of "the band of tomorrow...today" at the University of Houston.  Being able to premier many of his wonderful arrangements for marching band was truly a great joy for us.  His enthusiasm, excitement, energy and positive outlook was contagious.  He certainly influenced the way I approach teaching, my band, music and life.  May our sadness at his passing be eased by our memories and frequent performances of his arrangements.

One can only think of many positive thoughts of the many wonderful and exciting times shared with both “Bill” and Jeanette.  We are all better for knowing Dr. Moffit.  His’ energy and excitement for life and music was contagious.  He expected nothing but the best from one and all.  He strived for the highest and expected others to do likewise in life.  Many people in the tomorrows to come will play and enjoy his’ arrangements.  The music will entertain generations to come.  They will only know him thru the music arrangements left behind.  We who were privileged to have known him in both in public and in private are truly blessed to have known a special person.  For we knew his’ music and the man.  Yes, we are indeed saddened with his’ passing but honored and fortunate to have shared fleeting moments of life with a dear person.  Our heartfelt prayers are with you Jeanette and family.  May God Bless and strengthen you in the days and years to come.
Love,
Hugh Bob, Jaime and Noel Lawrence

      To: The Moffitt Family

I was saddened by the news of "Bills" passing.  It is very hard for me to express my deepest appreciation for all of the wonderful memories I still enjoy from the 15 plus years of our association.  It seems like only yesterday that we would chat with the wonderful times of the years that you all spent at Purdue University.  I shared the sad news with our son Brian( who now lives and works in Southern California).  Brian expressed his memories in the All American Band and the Boiler Brass.  Please know that all of the Ruby family will have you in our prayers as you bring these final days to a close.

Our last address for him was on Colgate Rd. We'd like to mention his passing at our reunion, if we have the right Jack Johnston...Would someone be willing to let me know? I'd appreciate it.
My sympathy to his family..

      Kari (Squier) Hale

Dear Joe,

I don't know if you'll remember me from ETCC and COTR many years ago, but I definitely remember you and Kim.  Kim's life blessed many I'm sure... she certainly blessed me.  I am sorry for your loss, but also rejoicing that she is in the presence of the King of Kings.  My mother, Cherie, father, Butch and sisters Kitsy and Kayce also send their love.

Praying for you in Jesus' Name,
Kari (Squier) Hale

      Kari (Squer) Hale

Dear Joe,

I don't know if you'll even remember me. I was a little girl the last time we saw you, but I definitely remember both you and Kim. We went to church together at ETCC in Kilgore many years ago. Kim was such a blessing! She loved Jesus and it showed in everything she did. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, but rejoice that she is walking on streets of gold with the King of Kings. Both of you meant so very much to me when I was a child and I love you. My mom, Cherie, my dad, Butch and my sister, Kitsy all send their love.

Praying for you in the Name of JESUS,
Kari (Squier) Hale

      Terry & Patty Ray

Joe, Desiree, and Christopher;

We are hurting with you as we reflect on the loss of Kim.  The love and joy she leaves in our memories from times shared pales when compared to the Savior's love that flowed "like rivers of living waters" when we were in her presence.  May God be glorified in the life she lived!  We will be praying for God to fill the void in your hearts in His time and with His Peace.

Terry and Pat Ray

       Ina Bryan

      Patti Tucker

Dearest Forgione Family,

What wonderful funny times I had with "Mrs. Kim" in children's church at East Texas Christian Center.  She was the ray of sunshine when she entered the room and when you saw her, you'd forget all your problems.  She had the biggest smile and the biggest heart.  My prayer is that God will give you strength, His unbounding love, and His peace "that passeth all understanding". I love you all.

       Lindsey Kee

Desiree,

You and your entire family are in my prayers. Even though we have lost touch over the years, you are definitely unforgettable! All those great times at your house, with your wonderful family will forever be some of my favorite memories. Take care and warmest thoughts...
